It is with these humble qualities that I respectfully hold space.
Hi, I'm Jay – a social worker and counsellor offering trauma-informed support through counselling, embodied healing, and therapeutic yoga. My work is grounded in the understanding that safety, attunement, and connection are central to wellbeing.
I support individuals through counselling and embodied therapeutic work, and groups through trauma-informed therapeutic yoga, with a focus on nervous system regulation, resilience, and reconnection with self and others.
I bring over eight years of experience in the family violence and sexual assault sector, with extensive expertise in family violence risk assessment and understanding the impacts of interpersonal trauma. I also have over 16 years’ experience as a yoga practitioner and more than 10 years as a teacher, with a specific focus on trauma-informed yoga alongside my counselling practice.
We know that when we lift women up, we lift children up, we lift our families up, and we lift our economy up. All of society benefits.
I believe that we are at a turning point in human history. Time and time again we are reminded of the deep and systemic inequities and disparities that our culture has created. This has come at a great cost for humanity and our planet. I think change is inevitable. But where there is change and uncertainty there is also endless possibility and opportunity, and this opportunity greatly inspires and excites me.
